Europe tour 2012 for Emily

Pasadena Youth Symphony Orchestra toured Europe from June 23 to July 1. We had concerts in Vienna, Austria; Prague, Czech Republic; and Salzburg, Austria.

In Vienna, we played Haydn Hall in Prince Esterhazy’s palace, where Haydn performed. In Prague, we performed in the Concert Hall of Sts. Simon and Juda. Finally, we performed in the Salzburg Cathedral for the ecumenical mass-service of the International Cantus MM Music & Culture Festival in the morning, and performed at the University Mozarteum, Mirabellplatz for the “Symphonie der Hilfe,” a fundraiser for the Down’s Syndrome Project “Yes we can!”

When we weren’t performing, our time was occupied with tours of many cathedrals, sightseeing, and shopping. Click to play the following video for a montage of some of the many pictures I took of Europe, set to the music of The Moldau by Bedrich Smetana:
