End of summer carnival 8/12

The Recreation and Community Services Department will be celebrating the end of summer with our annual carnival on Wednesday, August 12th from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Eisenhower Memorial Park (corner of 2nd and Colorado).  This year’s theme is “A Pirates Life for Me.”

Enjoy games, music, refreshments, raffles and much more.  Carnival games are available for a nominal fee and offer fun, kid- friendly prizes, so be sure to bring lots of change.  Pick up your passport at the welcome table and get it stamped at every booth. Submit completed passport for a raffle entry and a chance to win a pirate prize. Hunt for “The Hidden Coins” and turn them in at the Recreation Booth for a treasure surprise.

Also, come check out a caricaturist from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. and Pirate Balloon artist from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and don’t forget your camera for a spectacular pirate memory. For more information please contact the Recreation Office at 626.574.5113.
