Emergency workshop

The City of Arcadia will present a free ACTION Emergency Preparedness and Crime Prevention Workshop from 8 a.m. to 12 noon April 14 at the Arcadia Public Library, 20 W. Duarte Road.

Free door prizes. Space at this workshop is limited; please RSVP by calling 574-5403.

The City of Arcadia puts a great deal of effort toward maintaining a disaster plan, training employees, conducting drills and otherwise preparing for an emergency in order to reduce as much as possible the negative impacts such a situation would have on the City.

What will happen if roads are blocked, power lines go down, trees fall, water tanks or the sewer system break, City facilities and equipment become unreachable or inoperable, traffic signals don’t operate, public safety communication equipment malfunctions…what if the City’s first responders are not able to get to you because of road blockages or other problems?
