CITY HOLDS COMMUNITY MEETING ON COLORADO BOULEVARD STREETSCAPE PROJECT

Rep. Judy Chu helped the City receive $3 million to advance the Colorado Complete Streets Project, which would create a “complete street” along Colorado Blvd. The biggest change would be adding a sidewalk and formal bike lanes along Colorado Blvd. from the western city limits to the split at the “Upper Y”, which would be a substantial safety improvement for pedestrians and cyclists. Last week, we gave a presentation on the project to the Lower Rancho Architectural Review Board. Attached is a copy of the PowerPoint presentation, which is a good summary of what to expect and answers many common questions. We will be conducting further outreach in the months to come and continue through the construction period.
