Author Downing speaks 4/15

Author and political activist Karla Downing will be the speaker at the April 15 meeting of the Arcadia Republican Woman’s Club at the Santa Anita Golf Course, 405 Santa Anita Ave.

The presentations of Downing, who has 30 years of involment in various political organizations, explains the differences between conservatism and liberalism by comparing them with the opposites on a variety of tenants and illustrating the beliefs with federal and state legislation to prove how the philosophies shape a political agenda.
