Arcadian attempts police murder

A 27-year-old Arcadia man was was charged Wednesday with attempted murder of a police officer, according to the Associated Press.
Trevor Bakgwan Kuk allegedly robbed the Burro Shooting Range near Arcadia Monday morning and then led police on a high-speed Southern California freeway chase and took aim with an assault weapon and fired at a Los Angeles sheriff’s helicopter and a West Covina police officer.
Officials told the AP that Kuk was charged with multiple felonies, including two counts of commercial burglary, grand theft, evading arrest and assault with an assault pistol, that could send him to prison for life. Arraignment has been postponed until Sept. 15 in Pomona Superior Court.
