Arcadia Police Department Weekly Activity Report - Sunday, June 29th through Saturday, July 5th

For the period of Sunday, June 29th through Saturday, July 5th , the Police Department responded to 988 calls for service, of which 98 required formal investigations. The following is a summary report of some of the incidents handled by the Department during this period.
Sunday, June 29:
At approximately 2:49 a.m., an officer responded to Denny’s, located at 7 East Huntington Drive, regarding a theft report. The officer discovered three suspects ordered food and intended on leaving the restaurant without paying. All three suspects were located. A 31-year-old female from Altadena, a 27-year-old male from Los Angeles, and a 23-year-old male from Duarte were issued citations.
Monday, June 30:
At approximately 6:03 a.m., an officer responded to Srisiam Thai Kitchen, located at 106 East
Foothill Boulevard, regarding two commercial burglary investigations. The officer determined an unknown suspect broke into Subway, a neighboring business, and this location, getting away with only a cash register box from Srisiam Thai Kitchen. The investigation is pending a review of available surveillance footage.
Tuesday, July 1:
At approximately 4:01 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 1300 block of Glencoe
Drive regarding a burglary report. An investigation revealed three unidentified suspects shattered a rear glass door and fled when they encountered the homeowner. The suspects are described as all wearing black hooded sweatshirts, black masks, black gloves, and black pants. They fled on foot toward a nearby wash.
Wednesday, July 2:
At approximately 12:28 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 00 block of Campus Drive regarding an aggravated assault report. The officer discovered an altercation between a husband and wife turned violent when the male suspect struck his wife with a meat cleaver. Both the suspect and victim were transported to USC Arcadia Hospital by Arcadia Fire. After the suspect was medically cleared, the 86-year-old male from Arcadia was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
Thursday, July 3:
At approximately 10:02 a.m., officers responded to Dollar Tree, located at 140 East Duarte Road, regarding an aggravated assault incident. An investigation revealed a 30-year-old male transient entered the store and began stabbing the store clerk multiple times for no apparent reason. Arcadia Fire transported the victim to Huntington Memorial Hospital for treatment. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
Friday, July 4:
At approximately 9:06 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 500 block of East Longden Avenue regarding a burglary investigation. Surveillance cameras captured a lone male suspect attempting to enter a secured garage. The home had recently been burglarized on July 1st and July 2nd. No loss was sustained during this third burglary.
Saturday, July 5:
At approximately 3:34 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 2500 block of South Santa Anita Avenue regarding a trespassing report. The officers located the suspect and while they were attempting to talk to him about what he was doing there, he threatened to assault one of the officers.
The 32-year-old male from Arcadia was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for
booking.
