Arcadia Police Department Weekly Activity Report - Sunday, July 27th through Saturday, August 2nd

For the period of Sunday, July 27th through Saturday, August 2nd, the Police Department responded to 1,009 calls for service, of which 118 required formal investigations. The following is a summary report of some of the incidents handled by the Department during this period.
Sunday, July 27:
At approximately 11:56 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 100 block of Alta
Street regarding a battery incident. The officer discovered a domestic dispute escalated
when the male half hit the female half multiple times in the face and prevented her from
escaping. The 31-year-old male from Arcadia was arrested and transported to the Arcadia
City Jail for booking.
Monday, July 28:
At approximately 8:47 a.m., an officer responded to Chase Bank, located at 60 East
Huntington Drive, regarding a vandalism report. Sometime between July 26th and July 28th,
someone removed an advertisement decal from a window, etched into two glass windows,
and destroyed a plant. The case is ongoing pending a review of the surveillance footage.
Tuesday, July 29:
At approximately 9:26 a.m., an officer responded to Foothill Credit Union, located at 250
West Colorado Boulevard, regarding a fraud report. An investigation revealed the suspect
cashed two checks to herself, withdrew funds, and intentionally left the account overdrawn
after the checks returned as having insufficient funds. The suspect has been identified as a
63-year-old female from Arcadia.
Wednesday, July 30:
At approximately 1:44 p.m., an officer responded to Eurolexotic Rentals, located at 150
North Santa Anita Avenue, regarding a stolen vehicle investigation. The officer determined
the victim purchased a vehicle in New Jersey, and before it could be shipped, it was stolen
and held for ransom.
Thursday, July 31:
At approximately 10:26 a.m., an officer responded to Nordstrom, located at The Shops at
Santa Anita at 400 South Baldwin Avenue, regarding a grand theft report. The victim
discovered someone stole her wallet from an unsecured employee area and made multiple
fraudulent purchases on her credit card.
Friday, August 1:
At approximately 6:57 a.m., an officer responded to the Arcadia Police Department front
counter regarding a robbery that occurred at O2 Karaoke, located at 1020 South Baldwin
Avenue. The officer determined three male suspects assaulted a female victim and stole her
purse. All three suspects are described as Black males in their twenties, approximately 5’6” tall, with slim builds, and wearing face masks and black clothing.
Saturday, August 2:
At approximately 1:32 p.m., an officer responded to the intersection of Santa Anita Avenue
and Floral Avenue regarding an aggravated assault incident. An investigation revealed a
husband and wife were arguing when the female assaulted and stabbed her husband. The
19-year-old female from Los Angeles was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail
for booking. Arcadia Fire responded and treated the victim.
