Arcadia Police Department Weekly Activity Report - Sunday, February 1st through Saturday, February 7th

For the period of Sunday, February 1st through Saturday, February 7th, the Police Department responded to 967 calls for service, of which 107 required formal investigations. The following is a summary report of some of the incidents handled

by the Department during this period.



Sunday, February 1:

At approximately 7:50 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 100 block of

California Street regarding a burglary investigation. The officer discovered someone

shattered a bathroom window, stole a handgun, and fled undetected.


Monday, February 2:

At approximately 7:10 p.m., an officer responded to Bonita Skate Park, located at 100

South Second Avenue, regarding a vandalism report. Sometime during the previous

night, someone used black spray paint to vandalize the park. There are three related

incidents that are also under investigation.


Tuesday, February 3:

At approximately 7:29 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 900 block of

Volante Drive regarding a burglary report. Sometime between 12:50 p.m. and 4:50

p.m., someone shattered a rear window and fled empty-handed.


Wednesday, February 4:

At approximately 2:19 p.m., an officer responded to The Shops at Santa Anita, located

at 400 South Baldwin Avenue, regarding a battery investigation. The officer

determined a boyfriend battered and attempted to kidnap his girlfriend. The 30-year-

old male from Fontana fled before officers arrived.


Thursday, February 5:

At approximately 10:42 a.m., an officer responded to LensCrafters, located at 400

South Baldwin Avenue, regarding a grand theft incident. An investigation revealed a

male and female suspect stole approximately $3,000.00 worth of glasses before

fleeing. The female is described as a Hispanic woman with a heavy-set build, who was

seen wearing a light-colored shirt, black leggings, and a blue baseball hat. The male

suspect is described as approximately 50-years-old, Hispanic, heavy-set, with a short

white beard, and wearing a black shirt and black baseball hat.


Friday, February 6:

At approximately 2:25 p.m., an officer responded to the 300 block of East Longden

Avenue regarding an incident of criminal threats. The victim stated a former client, a

28-year-old male from Los Angeles, made specific threats to endanger him and his

family. The investigation is ongoing and the suspect is outstanding at this time.


Saturday, February 7:

At approximately 7:16 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 100 block of

West La Sierra Drive regarding a burglary investigation. The officer discovered

someone forced open a rear window, ransacked the home, and fled with an unknown

amount of property. The crime happened sometime between 3:40 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.
