Arcadia Police Department Weekly Activity Report - Sunday, December 7th through Saturday, December 13th

For the period of Sunday, December 7th through Saturday, December 13th, the Police Department responded to 957 calls for service, of which 124 required formal
investigations. The following is a summary report of some of the incidents handled by the Department during this period.
Sunday, December 7:
At approximately 12:06 a.m., an officer responded to In-N-Out, located at 420 North
Santa Anita Avenue, regarding an aggravated assault. An investigation revealed an
altercation between two patrons escalated when the suspect pulled out a knife and
threw a rock at the victim. The 55-year-old male transient from Arcadia was arrested
and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
Monday, December 8:
At approximately 9:00 a.m., an officer responded initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle
in the area of Holly Avenue and Palm Drive for failing to stop at a stop sign. An
investigation revealed the driver, recognized from past equipment thefts, was in
possession of a burglary tools, an imitation firearm, a possibly stolen leaf blower, and
had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. The 41-year-old male from Pasadena was
arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
Tuesday, December 9:
At approximately 3:58 p.m., an officer responded to the front counter of the Arcadia
Police Department regarding a fraud report. The victim discovered someone used
his personal information to open a credit card. The victim does not know how the
unidentified suspect obtained his personal information.
Wednesday, December 10:
At approximately 7:07 a.m., an officer responded to the area of Winnie Way and
Tenth Avenue regarding a stolen vehicle report. Sometime during the previous night,
someone stole the victim’s Chevrolet Silverado truck. No suspects were seen and no
witnesses were located.
Thursday, December 11:
At approximately 9:21 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 800 block of
Singing Wood Drive regarding a burglary in progress. An investigation revealed a lone
male suspect was seen inside of the home before he fled empty-handed. The
investigation is ongoing.
Friday, December 12:
At approximately 9:40 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 400 block of
West Lemon Avenue regarding a mail tampering report. Sometime between Thursday
and Friday morning, someone vandalized the victim’s mailbox. It is unknown if mail was
stolen.
Saturday, December 13:
At approximately 10:47 p.m., an officer responded to the Santa Anita Race Track,
located at 285 West Huntington Drive, regarding a grand theft report. Multiple victims
stated they had their cellphones stolen while attending the Enchanted holiday event.
All four victims stated the incident happened between 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. The
suspects are described as a Hispanic female and a Hispanic male. The investigation
is ongoing.
