Arcadia Police Department Weekly Activity Report - Sunday, August 31st through Saturday, September 6th

For the period of Sunday, August 31st through Saturday, September 6th, the Police Department responded to 852 calls for service, of which 90 required formal investigations. The following is a summary report of some of the incidents handled by the Department during this period.
Sunday, August 31:
At approximately 7:23 p.m., an officer responded to Nordstrom, located at 400 South
Baldwin Avenue, regarding a robbery investigation. The officer determined an unidentified
suspect stole merchandise and then punched a loss prevention employee while fleeing. The
suspect and an accomplice were seen fleeing in a white sedan. The suspect is described as
a Hispanic female, approximately 30 to 40-years-old, heavy set, with long black hair and
seen wearing a tan tank top and blue jeans. The accomplice is described as a Hispanic male
in his thirties. The investigation is ongoing.
Monday, September 1:
At approximately 2:19 p.m., an officer responded to Elk’s Lodge, located at 27 West
Huntington Drive, regarding a mail theft report. The reporting party discovered a pile of mail
that had been stolen from the 600 block of South Santa Anita.
Tuesday, September 2:
At approximately 9:21 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 1600 block of South
First Avenue regarding a burglary report. Sometime during the previous night, someone
broke into a secure area of the construction site and stole tools.
Wednesday, September 3:
At approximately 9:00 a.m., an officer responded to the 1000 block of Don Pablo Drive
regarding a grand theft incident. Surveillance cameras captured two suspects cut the lock
and steal a gardener’s lawn mower from his truck. The suspects fled in a white truck.
Thursday, September 4:
At approximately 7:45 p.m., an officer responded to CVS, located at 188 Las Tunas Drive,
regarding a robbery investigation. The officer discovered two Hispanic females stole various
items and threw a stolen product at the store supervisor while fleeing. The suspects fled in
a white SUV.
Friday, September 5:
At approximately 6:30 p.m., an officer responded to Arcadia Meats, located at 119 W. Live Oak
Avenue, Unit C regarding a commercial burglary report. Based on surveillance camera footage during the early morning hours a suspect wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants and gloves shattered the front glass door and ransacked the business. No
suspect vehicle information is available.
Saturday, September 6:
At approximately 10:08 p.m., an officer responded to Outback Steakhouse, located at 166 E.
Huntington Drive regarding a vehicle window smash. An investigation uncovered that two
unrelated vehicles were parked at the location while their occupants entered the restaurant. Upon leaving the restaurant at different times, each person found that their car windows had
been shattered. Currently, there is no information available regarding any suspects.
