Arcadia Police Department Weekly Activity Report - Sunday, August 10th through Saturday, August 16th

For the period of Sunday, August 10th through Saturday, August 16th, the Police Department
responded to 955 calls for service, of which 111 required formal investigations. The following
is a summary report of some of the incidents handled by the Department during this period.
Sunday, August 10:
At approximately 6:36 p.m., an officer responded to Enterprise Rent A Car, located at 120
Las Tunas Drive, regarding a commercial burglary investigation. At approximately 6:21 p.m.,
three male suspects shattered the front window and stole a safe containing car keys. One of
the suspects was identified as a 48-year-old male from El Monte. He was arrested and
transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking. The remaining suspects are outstanding.
Monday, August 11:
At approximately 9:45 p.m., an officer responded to The Shops at Santa Anita, located at 400
South Baldwin Avenue, regarding a robbery report. The victim stated she was waiting near
the entrance to Benihana when the suspect approached her, accused her of taking his Apple
Airpods, and then forcibly removed them from her hand. The suspect is described as a Black
male, approximately 20 to 30-years-old, around 5’10” tall, and wearing a red thank top, dark-
colored pants, and white and gray shoes. The Airpods were located in the Peacock Parking
Structure and returned to the victim.
Tuesday, August 12:
At approximately 12:42 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 00 block of California
Street regarding a battery report. An investigation revealed an altercation occurred resulting
in a husband hitting his wife and breaking a window. The 28-year-old male from Arcadia was
arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
Wednesday, August 13:
At approximately 4:26 p.m., an officer responded to The Shops at Santa Anita, located at 400
South Baldwin Avenue, regarding a petty theft report. Surveillance cameras captured two
suspects stealing nearly $700.00 worth of fragrances. They are both described as Hispanic
or Indian males.
Thursday, August 14:
At approximately 3:57 p.m., an officer responded to Securcare, located at 5630 Peck Road,
regarding a commercial burglary investigation. The officer determined a lone male suspect
broke into a storage unit using bolt cutters and fled with various items. While leaving the
location in his silver SUV, he damaged the gate. He is described as a White male,
approximately 5’10” tall, with a thin build and blonde hair, seen wearing a traffic vest and
traffic hat.
Friday, August 15:
At approximately 4:11 p.m., an officer responded to Sunglass Hut, located at 400 South
Baldwin Avenue, regarding a grand theft investigation. Surveillance footage captured a lone
suspect stealing two pairs of sunglasses, resulting in a loss of over $1,000.00. He is described
as a Black male, approximately 6’2” , and wearing a white shirt and pink pastel shorts.
Saturday, August 16:
At approximately 6:33 p.m., an officer responded to Arcadia Medical Spa, located at 135 Las
Tunas Drive, regarding a robbery report. An investigation revealed three suspects threatened
the employees with knives and stole their cellphones. All three suspects fled on electric
scooters. They are described as Hispanic males in their early 20s. The investigation is
ongoing.
