Arcadia Police Department Weekly Activity Report - Sunday, April 20th through Saturday, April 26th

For the period of Sunday, April 20th through Saturday, April 26th, the Police Department responded

to 877 calls for service, of which 95 required formal investigations. The following is a summary report

of some of the incidents handled by the Department during this period.



Sunday, April 20:

At approximately 10:01 a.m., an officer responded to Paris Baguette, located at 7 Las Tunas Drive, regarding a robbery that had just occurred. An investigation revealed the suspect stole a cart full of pastries and when he attempted to leave without paying, he shoved an employee out of the way. The 37-year-old male from Los Angeles was located, arrested, and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.


Monday, April 21:

At approximately 3:21 a.m., an officer responded to JCPenney, located at 400 South Baldwin

Avenue, regarding a commercial burglary investigation. Surveillance footage captured three

suspects forcing their way into the building and fleeing with a large amount of jewelry. The

investigation is ongoing.


Tuesday, April 22:

At approximately 6:32 p.m., an officer responded to Motel 6, located at 225 West Colorado Place, regarding a burglary report. The victim witnessed the suspect exit his hotel room and discovered the suspect stole $25.00 and his debit card. The suspect is described as a Black male, 45 to 55- years-old, with a medium build, and walking with a limp.


Wednesday, April 23:

At approximately 2:13 p.m., an officer responded to USC Arcadia Hospital, located at 300 West Huntington Drive, regarding two battery reports. An investigation revealed a patient pulled out an IV and threw it at one of the nurses. The patient/suspect then threw a cup of coffee at another nurse. The suspect has been identified as a 66-year-old male from Duarte. The investigation is ongoing.


Thursday, April 24:

At approximately 10:01 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 700 block of West Lemon Avenue regarding a fraud incident. Under false pretenses, the victim paid the suspect a large sum of money in exchange for assistance in applying for permanent U.S. residency. The suspect is described as an Asian male in his twenties, with dark hair and blonde highlights.


Friday, April 25:

At approximately 1:15 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 500 block of Drake Road regarding a theft from vehicle report. Sometime during the previous night, someone entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole a briefcase.


Saturday, April 26:

At approximately 10:16 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 00 block of East Grand

View Avenue regarding an aggravated assault report. The victim stated her soon to be ex-husband grabbed her arms and caused a minor laceration. The 55-year-old male from Arcadia was gone by the time officers arrived and is outstanding.
