Arcadia fireworks illegal

Use or possession of any form of fireworks is illegal in the City of Arcadia.

In addition to Arcadia police officers watching for violations, the Arcadia Fire Department will also have area patrols through the 4th of July holiday. Violations may result in arrest or citation, and a seizure of all fireworks.

The best and safest source of 4th of July entertainment can be found at a professional fireworks show listed here.

The Arcadia Police Department notes that if a child has obtained any fireworks prior to June 28th, the items are probably illegal and dangerous, and should be turned over to the fire department or local police agency! It is against the law to use, possess, store or sell “illegal fireworks.”.State law provides for a fine of at least $500 and/or a year in jail upon conviction for violating fireworks laws. Some violations are a felony.  Fireworks cause many burns, injuries and fires. Violators can be held responsible for damages, as well as having to pay a fine and/or go to jail. Parents are liable for any damage or injuries caused by their children using fireworks.
