AHS Orchestra dinner 2/27

The 16th annual Arcadia High School Orchestra Benefit Dinner will be held on Saturday Feb. 27th 2010 in the Arcadia Community Center.

The theme for this year’s fund raising event is “Cirque du Orchestre,” with guest artists, The Hutchins Consort, who are renown for playing eight scaled violins, from the tiny treble violin, to the gigantic large bass violin, and concluding with the popular grand finale of 300 orchestra students literally surrounding the 300 or so dinner guests with music.

Get the Flash Player to see this content. The evening kicks off at 5:30pm for appetizers and a browse through the silent auction items. Pre-dinner entertainment will be provided by orchestra students as roving minstrels and a magician while a slideshow of previous orchestra performances and activities is displayed.

Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. with Chicken Bistango, Baked Alaskan Cod, rice pilaf, roast red potatoes, followed by dessert of “petite fours.”
