The Apache Marching Band and Color Guard will be marching once again in the 2012 Tournament of Roses Parade for the first time since 2008.
The band and color guard earned their way in by winning the grand prize in the Los Angles County Fair’s 8th annual High School Band Competition Friday (Oct. 1), performing their 2012 parade march “March of the Women Marines,” by Louis Saverino, according to Arcadia Music Club blog.
In addition to earning an automatic berth in the Rose Parade, the grand prize for the competition organised by the Tournament of Roses music committee also earned the school $5,000.
