The number of accessory dwelling units (ADUs) built in the City in the years since the State mandated more flexibility on those improvements. Below is a list of permits we have issued for ADUs since 2018. While these units do count toward our overall Housing Element numbers, they generally qualify as “Above Market” rate units. While they may rent for cheaper than normal Arcadia apartments, they do not have any affordability covenants upon them, so they don’t get counted as Affordable Housing.
