ACA Moon Festival 9/29

Well over 1,000 people attended the Arcadia Chinese Association’s first-ever Moon Festival Saturday evening, Sept. 29. Some estimated the crowd at more than 1,500.

The event staged on a lawn at the Los Angeles County Arboretum featured several hours of entertainment on a stage, where local politicians, including Congresswoman Judy Chu, were also introduced.

Surrounding the backside of the lawn were a dozen or so booths of local groups and merchants.

For those in need of nourishment, a food truck, pizza booth, and ice cream cart offered refreshments.

As the evening’s activities progressed from 4:30 p.m. – 9 p.m., a full moon rose in the east for all to see.

The following video highlights were produced by attendee Gib Whitney of Wide Eyed Productions. Following the video are more photographs…
