Wistaria Festival Sunday 3/25

The world-famous giant wistaria vine isn’t the only visually stunning landmark you will see at the annual Wistaria Festival presented by the Sierra Madre Chamber of Commerce on Sunday, March 25.

This year the recently restored iconic three-story Pinney House, built in 1887 and used for many classic movies, including the Bob Hope comedy “The Seven Little Foys,” will also be open to visitors, also for free. (see more photos of the Pinney House at Arcadia Chamber of Commerce Facebook page).

The festival in downtown Sierra Madre, which also includes more than 150 crafters, live music venues all day, children’s activities and a food court in Memorial Park, runs from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., with vine viewing ending at 4 p.m.

A round-trip shuttle from downtown Sierra Madre to both the vine and the Pinney House is $10, or $7 for seniors 62 and up, or kids 6 – 16 years of age. The Shuttle Ticket booth will open at 9 a.m. at the intersection of E. Montecito and Baldwin Avenues.

Sierra Madre is located directly North/East of Pasadena & North/West of Arcadia. For visitors coming from out-of-town via the Metro Gold Line, a free Gateway Coach shuttle will be available 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from the Sierra Madre Villa Station to downtown Sierra Madre.

Driving directions: Exit the 210 Freeway at Baldwin Ave. Drive North to Sierra Madre Blvd.
