With nearly 300 stores in the Westfield Santa Anita mall anchored by Nordstrom’s, Macy’s and JC Penney’s, there is no shortage of options for shoppers in Arcadia.
Many more more upscale retailers joined the mall in 2009 with Westfield’s Promenade outdoor expansion, pictured, and many more are planned for the future in the Shops at Santa Anita outdoor retail development on the parking lot of the racetrack by Rick Caruso, developer of The Americana at Brand in Glendale.
Baldwin Plaza at 1108 S. Baldwin Ave. and President Square at 1220 S. Golden West Ave. are just two of the city’s growing number of retail centers offering shopping, groceries, restaurants, and other services geared toward Chinese interests and tastes led by 99 Ranch Market, Arcadia Supermarket, and Din Tai Fung Dumpling House. Meanwhile, Arcadia’s primary traditional business districts, from each direction centered at the intersection of First Avenue and Huntington Drive, and along Baldwin Ave. south of Huntington, continue to offer an eclectic mix of shopping, dining, specialty food, and personal and business services, as well as entertainment at Arcadia Blues Club.
