SENIOR CLASSES During the week of October 4, virtual classes had 83 students registered. Virtual classes include Pilates, Cardio, Fit for Life, and Intermediate Line Dance.
SENIOR LUNCH PROGRAM
A total of 254 lunch meals were served during the week of October 4. Seniors are enjoying meals such as lasagna, chicken tacos, fish, stuffed pepper, and their all-time favorite, meatloaf! Every meal comes with fresh fruit, salad, vegetables, milk, and dessert.
ADULT BASKETBALL
This fall season, Adult Basketball League is offering a Friday night and Sunday League. The Friday league is open to all skill levels with five teams enrolled. Sunday league offers four skill levels of play. There are 26 teams participating this season.
WEEKLY MOVIE
On Wednesday, October 6, the movie Evolution played for 12 viewers.
TECH TALK
Tech Talk is back and available for seniors who need a quick lesson on using their new smart phones and tablets. There were 3 people signed up on Friday, October 8. Volunteens from Arcadia High School were ready to assist senior citizens with their smart phones.
LAWN SIGNS FOR VETERANS The City of Arcadia would like to honor, recognize, and thank our local Veterans with lawn signs. If interested, please contact Gina Hernandez at 626.821.4328.

AFTER SCHOOL PLAYGROUNDS PROGRAM The Afterschool Playgrounds Program is a free program offered for youth in grades K-5. The program is held at six Arcadia elementary school sites and currently filled to capacity with 180 participants. A variety of activities are offered every week to keep participants entertained.

HOMELESSNESS REPORTING BY DEPARTMENT—AUGUST 2021 & YEAR TO DATE TOTALS The Recreation and Community Services Department, as the lead department in charge of Homelessness in the City is tracking dedicated staff time spent on homelessness in all departments, as well as associated costs. Collectively, there were 519 staff hours dedicated to homelessness and a total of $126,624 in August. The Year-to-Date totals with over 1,342 staffing hours dedicated to homelessness and a total of $266,511.
