Recreation and Community Services-weekly report 12/26/2021 to 1/1/2022

SENIOR LUNCH PROGRAM Seniors enjoy stopping by the Community Center not just to have lunch, but to see their friends, meet new people, and socialize. A total of 190 lunch meals were served the week of December 27. On Wednesday, December 29, Public Works and Waste Management gave a presentation to inform participants of the importance of the new Senate Bill 1383 is and how it will be enforced in Arcadia.

WINTER CAMP – WEEK 2 The second week of Winter Camp was held from December 27-30. There was a total of 160 participants who took part in trivia, games, crafts, and various activities. Participants were happy with their very own handmade hats, noise makers, and scenic pictures to ring in the new year.


HOMELESS COST REPORTING FOR NOVEMBER 2021 The Recreation and Community Services Department has been the lead in tracking the number of hours each department spends addressing homelessness. There are two reports to show the data during this fiscal year. The first report indicates the total of $118,514.42. The second report shows the cumulative data from each department over the course of the fiscal year, and the amount each department spent for a grant total of $597,717.42 and 2,674 staff hours. The number of hours and the cost associated with addressing homelessness will be available for you on a monthly basis.
