Recreation and Community Services Department- weekly report August 30 - September 3, 2021

SENIOR LUNCH PROGRAM A total of 243 lunch meals were served during the week of August 30 – September 3. The senior lunch program is doing great and selling out almost every day! The number of meals are limited in order to have appropriate social distancing and to keep the seniors safe while eating. Lunch is available Monday through Friday from 11:30am to 12:15pm on a first come, first served basis. SENIOR CLASSES During the week of August 30 – September 3, virtual classes had 47 students registered. Virtual classes include Pilates, Cardio, Fit for Life, and Intermediate Line Dance. GIFT SHOP The Gift Shop is open Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 10am to 1pm. During the week of August 30 – September 3, the Gift Shop had 19 shoppers and sales of $130. WEEKLY MOVIE On Wednesday, September 1, the movie Lincoln played for 14 viewers. AFTER SCHOOL PLAYGROUNDS PROGRAM The Afterschool Playgrounds Program is a free program offered for youth in grades K-5. The program is held at six Arcadia elementary school sites and currently filled to capacity. A variety of activities are offered to keep participants engaged and entertained.
