Readers invited to gem of party readers have received a special invitation to a semi-exclusive event at which a  Holiday Collection of fine jewelry and watches will be sold for up to 60% off and a half-carat diamond will be given away.

Si “Lam” Huynh, the owner of Prince Jewelers, will be throwing a party Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 27-28, for his loyal customers as well as readers. “It’s a way for me and my family to say thanks,” Huynh said.

Prince customers have been sent invitations by mail (at right) and anyone who mentions will also be admitted in the store at 411 E. Huntington Drive, adjacent to the Tokyo Wako restaurant. Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Lam designed the pendant worn by Los Angeles Lakers executive Jeanie Buss at the recent presentation of the 2010 championship rings to the team and coaches.

The special event this weekend will include refreshments, hors d’oeuvres, and an appearance Saturday by blogger Larry Stewart, a sports columnist for the L.A. Times for more than 30 years. Stewart has written about many of L.A.’s biggest sports legends and has many stories to tell. He also helps Prince Jewelers with promotions and public relations.
