Pacific Railway, Doo- Dah exhibits

Steve Crise and Michael Patris are beginning the installation of their latest show at the Pasadena Museum of History called Pacific Electric Railway, Then and Now. It will focus on modern comparative photography by Steve Crise based upon images from our Mount Lowe Preservation Society / Pacific Electric Railway Historical Society collections, as well as artifacts and some original works of art by renowned artist Harlan Hiney and others.

Pasadena Museum of History members and the public are invited to an opening wine and cheese reception for the two new exhibitions celebrating the Doo Dah Parade and the Pacific Electric Railway from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18.

Crise and Patris are guest co-curating the PMH show in the (south) Willis Stork Gallery. At the same time, in the (north) Ralph M. Parsons Foundation Gallery, there will be a show guest curated by Tom Coston and associates called What A Long Strange Trip It’s Been: 35 Years of the Pasadena Doo Dah Parade.
