LA28 OAK TREE COMMENT UPDATE- from City Manager

The formal noticing period ended at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. By that time, we had received 523 written comments.

• Of the comments received, 71 were from stated Arcadia residents, 118 did not state where they were from, and 334 were from outside of the City.

• 361 (69%) were in the format of the template letter, sometimes with additional commentary or minor changes.

• 18 (3%) were a different template letter

• 145 (27%) were individual comments

We have responded to all comments received by the end of Friday August 14. We have continued to receive a handful of template emails each day since Monday.

We are letting all commenters know that there will be a community meeting at 5:00pm on Thursday, August 27 at the Chandelier Room at Santa Anita Park. All Council Members may attend this meeting since it is not being hosted by the City of Arcadia. It will be important that you not discuss any City business while you are at this event. It would be best to simply listen to the discourse. The meeting is an opportunity for the public to speak directly to the applicants (LA28 & Santa Anita). I will be at the meeting and will be speaking, but only to say that we are here and listening.
