Fun in Forest Canyon

Many things happening again this weekend (Sept. 17-18) at Chantry Flat and Adams’ Pack Station in the Angeles National Forest as noted here by Deb Burgess of Adams’ Pack Station:

Saturday and Sunday: Eric Woodyard’s Famous Dutch-oven Pulled Pork Sandwiches.  Eric’s pulled pork was recently compared to vendors at an Orange County Barbecue Festival and his were rated top-notch above all others.  If we are lucky Monica Woodyard will join us on Sunday with one of her great dishes: Italian Sausage and/or Veggie Sausage.

Sunday Start the Day Out Right – Work Party in the Canyon.  Meet at the pipe gate at the top of the road at 8:00.  This month’s canyon work party will focus on the trail around Hermit Falls.  We recently had the mounted police up and they could not take their animals all the way to the falls.  Maybe they will come back if the trail is in better shape. Remember, if you come back to the pack station with dirty hands or clothes, we will treat you to a drink of your choice (beer, soda, water, Gatorade).  Can’t make it for the work party this month?  Remember that we have a work party planned every third Sunday of the month at 8:00 am.  See you then.

Come for the Hike (or work party) and stay for the music.  We have another great line up this Sunday:
