Fire Department Weekly Report - week of August 30 – September 5, 2026

The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the week of August 30 – September 5, 2026. The following is a breakdown of incident

categories recorded for this period:

Sunday, August 30

At 4:20 p.m., Truck 105 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to a medical incident

in the 1000 block of South Baldwin Avenue. Fire personnel found a 31-year-old male

with a chief complaint of chest pain. A full medical evaluation was performed,

including vitals, twelve-lead electrocardiogram, oxygen, and IV therapies. The patient

was transported by Rescue Ambulance 106 to USC Arcadia Hospital for further

evaluation.

Monday, August 31

At 2:14 a.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to a medical incident

in the 1600 block of South Baldwin Avenue. Fire personnel found a 70-year-old male

with a chief complaint of difficulty breathing. A full medical evaluation was

performed, including vitals, twelve-lead electrocardiogram, oxygen, and IV therapies.

The patient was transported by Rescue Ambulance 106 to USC Arcadia Hospital for

further evaluation.

Tuesday, September 1

At 6:15 p.m., Engine 106, Rescue Ambulance 106, and BLS 106 responded to a report

of a single-vehicle traffic collision involving a fire hydrant at the intersection of South

Baldwin Avenue and Fairview Avenue. Upon arrival, crews found the driver with no

injuries, the vehicle had sheared off a hydrant flooding water into the street. Crews

were able to shut off the valve to the damaged hydrant, stopping the flow of water.

No structures or businesses were impacted by the flooding. Public Works was

requested to further repair the damaged hydrant.

Wednesday, September 2

At 3:41 a.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to a medical incident

in the 400 block of Longden Avenue. Fire personnel found an 82-year-old female

patient with an altered level of consciousness. A full medical evaluation was

performed, including vital signs and a twelve-lead electrocardiogram, IV and oxygen

therapy. The patient was transported by Rescue Ambulance 106 to USC Arcadia

Hospital for further evaluation.

Thursday, September 3

At 8:57 p.m., Engine 106 responded to a report of a gushing fire hydrant at the intersection of Huntington Drive and Golden West Avenue. Upon arrival, E106 found a damaged fire hydrant that had been struck by a vehicle which left the scene. E106 was able to shut off the valve stopping the flow of water and Public Works was requested to repair the damaged hydrant. No homes or businesses were impacted by the flooding.

Friday, September 4

At 10:10 p.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical

incident near the 200 block of West Huntington Drive. Upon arrival, Engine 105 and

Rescue Ambulance 105 found a 32-year-old male postictal following seizure activity.

Fire personnel performed a full medical evaluation which included a twelve-lead

electrocardiogram, blood glucose check, and a complete set of vital signs.

Paramedics obtained intravenous access, administered oxygen, and transported the

patient to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.

Saturday, September 5

At 11:28 a.m., Engine 105, Engine 106, Truck 105, Truck 101, Rescue Ambulance 106,

Los Angeles County Engine 5, Battalion 10, and Battalion 105 responded to a

reported commercial building fire near the 600 block of West Duarte Road. Upon

arrival, Engine 105 found a single-story commercial building with occupants outside.

Inside, a malfunctioning bathroom fan was causing light smoke. Crews isolated the

power to the fan, removed it, and found no smoke or fire in the attic. Truck 105

helped restore the fire alarm system. The owner was informed of the issue, and the

cause is under investigation.
