The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the week of August 16 - 22, 2026. The following is a breakdown of incident categories

recorded for this period:

Sunday, August 16

At 8:07 a.m., Engine 106, Rescue Ambulance 106, and BLS 106 responded to a

medical incident in the 800 block of Victoria Drive. Fire personnel found an 81-year-

old female with a chief complaint of syncope. A full medical evaluation was

performed, including vitals, twelve-lead electrocardiogram, oxygen and IV therapies.

The patient was transported by Rescue Ambulance 106 to USC Arcadia Hospital for

further evaluation.

Monday, August 17

At 8:12 p.m., Engine 705 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical incident

in the 400 block of Santa Clara Street. Fire personnel found a 16-month-old male in

respiratory distress. A full pediatric medical evaluation was performed, including

vitals, twelve-lead electrocardiogram, oxygen and IV therapies. The patient was

transported by Rescue Ambulance 105 to USC Arcadia Hospital for further

evaluation.

Tuesday, August 18

At 11:04 a.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to the 100 block of

South Baldwin Avenue for a solo vehicle traffic accident involving a large tree.

Paramedics arrived to evaluate a 40-year-old female driver, the driver stated that she

had no injuries and denied transport or further needs.

Wednesday, August 19

At 4:51 p.m., Engine 107 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to the 300 block of

Floral Avenue for a reported person down. Paramedics arrived to find a 24-year-old

female that had overdosed on Fentanyl. Paramedics arrived and initiated advanced

life support protocols including intravenous access, medications, twelve-lead

electrocardiogram, blood glucose testing and transport to USC Arcadia Hospital.

Thursday, August 20

At 5:50 p.m., Engine 105, Rescue Ambulance 105, and BLS 106 responded to a

medical incident at the intersection of Santa Clara Street and Second Avenue. Fire

personnel found a 44-year-old male with a knife wound to the right hand following

an assault. A full trauma evaluation was performed including vital signs, twelve-lead

electrocardiogram, oxygen, and IV therapies. The patient was transported by Rescue

Ambulance 105 to USC Arcadia Hospital for further evaluation.

Friday, August 21

At 8:20 p.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to a medical incident

in the 1600 block of South Baldwin Avenue. Fire personnel found a 90-year-old male

with a chief complaint of difficulty breathing. A full medical evaluation was performed

including vital signs, twelve-lead electrocardiogram, oxygen, and IV therapies. Thepatient was transported by Rescue Ambulance 106 to USC Arcadia Hospital for

further evaluation.

Saturday, August 22

At 4:13 p.m., Engine 105, Rescue Ambulance 105 and BLS 106 responded to a medical

incident in the 1700 block of Sixth Avenue. Fire personnel found an 83-year-old

female patient having acute allergic reaction. A full medical evaluation was

performed including vital signs, twelve-lead electrocardiogram, oxygen, and IV

therapies. Advanced Life Support (ALS) interventions were made, and the patient was

transported by Rescue Ambulance 105 to USC Arcadia Hospital for further

evaluation.
