Arcadia Senior Services in partnership with Methodist Hospital will be having a special health presentation on the latest treatment options for diabetes at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26.
Endocrinologist Dr. Banskota will be the guest speaker at the Arcadia Community Center, 365 Campus Drive.
According to the American Diabetes Association, an estimated 17.9 million people in the United States have been diagnosed with diabetes, 57 million people have pre-diabetes. There are 5 mil. – 7 mil. people unaware that they have diabetes.
Dr. Banskota will discuss the symptoms, diagnosis and the latest treatment options that may help you avoid heart problems, blindness, circulation, nervous system and kidney problems that may occur with untreated diabetes.
