CITY LOGO GETS A GLOW UP

It’s been two decades since Arcadia's peacock branding and marketing logo
was first introduced. With the expansion of digital communications, creating
a refreshed logo and branding system was necessary. Our new logo and
branding system includes subtle adjustments to the peacock logo to resolve
longstanding challenges with scale, color, and gradient. Basically, we are
squaring the logo up at bit and removing the shading so that the logo is clean
and easy to use in all formats and all sizes.
This effort also allows for consistent departmental branding that is aligned
with the primary City logo; you’ll see updated departmental logos that follow
the style of the City logo and we are removing some outdated and conflicting
imagery. For more formal things such as City Council agendas, proclamations,
and the like, we will continue to utilize the City’s official seal; however, we have
updated the digital version of the seal so that it too is easier to use and looks
modern.

Updated stationery and templates—including business cards, letterhead, email signatures, and PowerPoint templates—have been distributed. This work was largely completed in-house, and the new designs will be implemented as our existing inventory expires to manage costs. Most importantly, with the conclusion of this project, we now have a clear framework and branding guidelines that outline how we communicate our identity, mission, and
values as a community to ensure Arcadia’s brand is presented consistently and effectively, every time.
