Boy Scout donates $1,000

Arcadia student and Boy Scout Christian Zwicky (Lucky Baldwin District, Troop 125) donated a check for $1,000 to Pasadena Humane Society and  SPCA CEO Steven McNall on Oct. 13 from his Eagle Scout Project for the spaying/neutering of 10 Arcadia felines.

Christian Zwicky donates $1,000 to Pasadena Humane Society and SPCA CEO Steven McNall as part of Zwicky's Eagle Scout project to spay/neuter cats.

Santa Anita Park/Los Angeles Turf Club donation to this effort by giving Christian a check for $500 made out to the Humane Society. The donation by Santa Anita Park at the office of Pete Siberell, Director of Community Service & Special Projects, will help support PHS, which serves the City of Arcadia. Siberell supported Christian’s efforts to trap, spay and neuter feral cats found on the backside at Santa Anita Park, with Siberell personally ensuring the care of the felines returned to the park where they will live out their years.

Christian should be advancing to the Eagle Board of Review within the next few weeks and will continue his efforts to save, spay/neuter and find homes for the homeless and abandoned felines in Arcadia until the problem is entirely resolved.
