Fire Chief Tony Trabbie is bringing a sense of family unity to the Arcadia Fire Department in order to encourage loyalty and longevity among the troops. Statistics show that the philosophy is working to keep turnover low.
During a presentation to the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Forum on Nov. 5, 2009, the chief also offered evidence of how increased fire inspections at businesses has resulted in a reduced number of fires each year, and how his team has reduced costs while increasing reimbursements and grants.
