Irene Verdugo, a Tongva Elder and descendent of Victoria Reid (Hugo Reid's wife), and her granddaughter Theresa Richau are today's speakers.

Bring your own lunch or enjoy our free pizza and drinks (first come, first served!).

After lunch, plan on staying to enjoy the new exhibit Tongva: Our Voice, Our History, Our People, which will be on display through November 22, 2008.

Free "brown bag" lunch talks about various aspects of Arcadia history are held from noon to 12:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of every month in the meeting room of the Ruth and Charles Gilb Arcadia Historical Museum. This month's meeting is on Thursday, September 18.

Please call 574-5440 to make a reservation. Space is limited.

The Arcadia Historical Museum is located at 380 W. Huntington Drive, immediately behind the Community Center. The Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is always free.
