Presented by the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce, and honoring two local non-profit organizations: The Arboretum Foundation and the Arcadia Educational Foundation, Taste of Arcadia has become the “signature event” for the chamber and for the City of Arcadia.

Taste of Arcadia Major Platinum Sponsors: Breeders’ Cup, Oak Tree Racing Association and Santa Anita Park have entered the starting gate with their generous support and are now racing toward the evening of Sept. 22 when Taste of Arcadia opens the doors to its yearly tasting event.

Taste of Arcadia will pop open the starting gate for our Platinum Sponsors to gallop off, racing to the fabulous Breeders’ Cup race days, October 24 & 25.

In the meantime, the two local non-profit organizations, Arcadia Educational Foundation and Arcadia Arboretum Foundation, will be helping the Arcadia Chamber sell tickets to the very delightful Taste of Arcadia, and garnering the support of their members to attend an al fresco evening under the stars. Each organization will receive a check at Taste of Arcadia from monies raised by ticket sales (please remember to mention one of the organizations when you purchase your tickets so that organization will also get an extra percentage of your ticket purchase).

AEF President Randy MacDonald has been instrumental in assuring this event’s success with his much appreciated attendance at committee meetings, and his recruitment of volunteers for Taste of Arcadia.

When the Chamber Board of Directors voted to donate a portion of the funds to the Arcadia Educational Foundation, it was met with enthusiastic approval. AEF has been instrumental in preserving and enhancing programs that make Arcadia schools successful with special emphasis on supporting the District’s award-winning Performing Arts, Technology and Enrichment Programs.

The Arboretum Foundation has always been very “hands on” in the annual preparation for Taste of Arcadia. Former CEO Dr. Mark Wourms and the Arboretum staff have been everlastingly generous, bestowing the Chamber with a beautiful setting and outstanding support to present Taste of Arcadia. This truly dedicated group of volunteers – The Arboretum Foundation – generously donates funding and “sweat equity” to the amazing improvements and maintenance of Arcadia’s treasure, The L.A. County Arboretum & Botanic Garden. It is in this light the Arcadia Chamber Board of Directors also voted to make them recipients of half of the donated funds from the ticket sales.

Anyone wanting to buy tickets or get more information, may call the Chamber at (626) 447-2159, go online to either website, www.tasteofarcadia.com or www.arcadiachamber.com, or email to info@tasteofarcadia.com or arcadiac@pacbell.net.

Also selling tickets and receiving a commission for doing so is the Arboretum, the Arboretum Foundation and the Arcadia Educational Foundation.
